Uganda’s first Netflix movie premieres 26th December

Uganda’s film fraternity is on cloud nine following Loukman Ali’s thriller movie, “The Girl In The Yellow Jumper” making it to Netflix. It has become the first Ugandan movie on Netflix, one of the world’s top movie streaming platforms. Fans of Ugandan content are impatiently waiting for this international recognition and opportunities to follow. Netflix announced the exciting news last month.

Loukman has set the bar high with his creative work and art doing the talking in the Ugandan movie industry.

The good news is that Netflix has set the date 26th December which will be a boxing day for when the movie will premiere.

“The Girl In The Yellow Jumper” had to premiere early April last year, but due to a coronavirus outbreak it was pushed for a later date that’s now set.

Ali was congratulated about this mileage by the Uganda Communications Committee [UCC],a regulatory body of the communications sector in Uganda.
