Since the last chapter of the Harry Potter movies, the 32-year-old actor has taken on movie roles that would make Voldemort think twice about ever returning. This includes "Horns"(2013) "Jungle"(2017) "Guns Akimbo" (2019) "Escape from Pretoria" (2020).
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe thanks British accent for award winning 'evil' performances
British actor Daniel Radcliffe delivered a humorous speech while accepting the MTV Award for best villain for adventure comedy "The Lost City". Radcliffe is the young star of the Harry Potter movies and he has gradually transformed into a young Christoph Waltz villain character over the years.
"The Lost City" features other Hollywood stars Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt and Channing Tatum. Radcliffe plays the character of Abigail Fairfax, a son of business empire owner Fairfax, who is obsessed with getting an ancient artifact in hopes of proving his worth.
During the awards, which happened on Sunday, Radcliffe joked that his accent had made his transition to evil a breeze.
“This is a universally recognized accent of pure evil,” he said.
“This is a voice that would kick a puppy or not give Oliver Twist more food. I really should thank my parents most for just having the foresight, all those years ago, to have me be British, so that I could grow up sounding naturally evil enough to one day win this award,” he continued.
Zendaya also collected awards for best performance in "Euphoria" which was voted best show and the Marvel blockbuster "Spider-man: No Way Home" which won best movie.
Jennifer Lopez won the "Generation Award" which she took home to celebrate with her fiancé Ben Affleck over a presumably candle-lit dinner.
She also won best song for “On My Way (Marry Me)"
