Characters most likely to die in The Expendables 4

Stallone’s group of iconic heroes, the so-called The Expendables, could almost match his Rambo franchise in popularity thanks to all the famous action stars in one movie such as himself, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren.

This star billing of characters helped elevate the franchise to the stratosphere through excellent action set pieces, cool one-liners and plenty of destruction with guns and bombs.

The Expendables, however, has never seemed to be packed with expendables, which means “of relatively little significance, and therefore able to be abandoned or destroyed.”

Only one of The Expendables has that was killed when the second Expendables film saw Billy The Kid (Liam Hemsworth), a new recruit, killed and the group set out for revenge.

While characters such as Lundgren's Gunner Jensen or Mickey Rourke's Tool were supposed to be killed, according to subsequent scripts, but they survived.

Those Expendables who might die

The death of either Lundgren's Gunner or Couture's Toll Road would help carry the movie in a new direction. It would also see Statham's Christmas have to assemble a new team, which are roles that 50 Cent and Fox will likely fill.

Sure, there might be surprises and Stallone himself might be killed off, who knows? The important thing is that the movie keeps its momentum and may finally surpass its own unreached potential.
