The upcoming thriller has been in the making for about a month in Lagos under the direction of Loukman. Jade Osiberu is owner of Greoh Studios and producer of the film, she also worked on the story alongside Abdul Tijani-Ahmed.
'Brotherhood’ movie: Loukman Ali wraps up new project
Loukman Ali in partnership with Greoh Studios in Nigeria recently finished production of their joint feature film 'Brotherhood'.
This is Loukman's breakthrough film the Nigerian movie scene, starring Falz (Nigerian Rapper) and Tobi Bakre. Bakre shared a video of the cast celebrating producer Jade Osiberu.
“We gladly celebrate our able producer @jadeosiberu as we wrap #Brotherhood the movie. Tell somebody to tell somebody to tell somebody!!!!!!!!!!! We have one for the books. You are going to love love love this one,” wrote Bakre.
The cast features other Nigerian actors; Zubby Michael, Toni Tones, Jidekene Achufusi, Deyemi Okalanwon, Mercy Aigbe, Big Brother Nigeria alumni Dorathy Bachor and Dianne Russet.
A few days ago, Loukman's film "The Girl In The Yelllow Jumper" won the award for Best Movie in East Africa at the African Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCAs).
The film beat the likes of Denise Kibisu Ngubuini, Sarah Hassan, Dolapo Adeleke, Ayeny T. Steve, and Mariam Ndagire who were in the same category.
This is the latest award the director has received for the Netflix thriller. The movie has garnered quite a number of accolades and global recognition since it was released.
It is the first Ugandan movie to feature on Netflix, and follows Maurice Kirya, Michael Wawuyo Jnr, Phillip Luswata among others, delivering an action thriller centred around a story narrated by a man who escapes a hostage situation.
Loukman has directed other movies like 'Sixteen Rounds' 'Ddamba' and 'The Blind Date'.
