Microsoft to buy Call of Duty gaming firm

News reaching us shows that Microsoft has finalized a deal to buy off Call of Duty and Candy Crush gaming firm Activision Blizzard for over $68.7bn.

If the deal finally goes through and is approved by regulators, Microsoft will be the third-largest gaming company in the world in terms of revenue.

According to Microsoft, after the deal is completed Bobby Kotick, who almost quit his position as CEO, will continue with the role.

The buy of will now give the Xbox maker a cross over into the mobile gaming circle according to Microsoft boss Satya Nadella.

Microsoft's move is seen as one that’s going to give its rival console Playstation Sony competition for their number of games.
