According to him, the top ten greatest rappers in Uganda are himself, followed by Dlux Ibra, Mulekwa Nampeera, Lyrical G and the rest. After releasing this list, Zamba made comments about music analysts and journalists that pressurise musicians to go international. He wondered whether journalists that are putting the pressure on artistes to make such huge milestones don’t want to work on bigger media platforms like BBC.
He says it's better for such journalists to first lead by example before pushing Ugandan artistes.
Eddie Ssendi has come out to say that he feels sorry for ‘the talented young man, Zamba’. He urges Zamba to do less talking and instead produce good music for his fans.
“He is a good rapper and in Uganda he has a position among the greatest.”
Ssendi adds that everyone has specialties and so journalists are allowed to express whatever they think and feel about the industry. According to Ssendi, GNL Zamba lacks identity or he is suffering from midlife crisis, or the cultural shock after travelling to the USA.
Ssendi says GNL should do less of the talking and do more good music and should also put aside diversions and do his rap genre. Ssendi said all this while doing his weekly entertainment analysis and review on a YouTube channel.
