Zuena: I have to build my own brand despite being married to a rich celebrity

Zuena Kirema, the wife of musician Moses Ssali, better known as Bebe Cool, believes being married to a rich celebrity shouldn't stop someone from preparing themselves for a rainy day or building their own brand.

According to Kirema, despite her husband being in a position to provide for the family without her financial contribution, she wants to make her own money because the future is unpredictable.

"What I want people to understand is that I have a very hard-working husband, who is famous, but I'm not just waiting for him to provide for me. I work for myself," Kirema said in a video seen by this reporter.

"I'm a celebrity. I can wake up in the morning, and say I've closed my business, Bebe is going to bring the money, and he will bring it. I want a brand of my own, I want people to know me, that I can work, I have children, and anything can happen, God forbid, but what's my financial standing as Zuena, as a mother? Bebe could get shot in the legs and he is no longer able to work, what next?"

Kirema and Cool got married in a civil ceremony on September 12, 2003, at Crane Chambers. In 2009, they momentarily separated after reports emerged that he cheated.

They rekindled the relationship after he reportedly apologized. She dropped out of school while in S.4 when she was 16 to date Cool.

They have four children together, namely: Alpha Thierry Ssali, Deen Ozil Ssali, Beata Ssali, and Caysan Ssali.
