Why singer Grenade Official was arrested

'Babadanda' singer Grenade Official seems to have landed himself in trouble as he was reportedly arrested on Thursday night for trespassing.

The former Team No Sleep artiste is said to have been picked up at the entrance of an estate in Seguku.

The security team manning the area who included a UPDF officer apprehended the singer, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time.

A video shared online shows Grenade, real Deus Nduggwa hurling expletives to the security, who had pinned him to the ground when he failed to identify himself.

It is reported that Grenade was beaten up by the security when he tried to resist arrest.

A person who recorded the altercation and shared it said the UPDF officer at the scene accused the artist of “beating up” some of the security guards at the entrance, who also hit him back.

By the morning of Friday, June 2nd, 2023, there was no word yet on whether the artist had been freed. Details on this development will be provided as they emerge.
