Walukaga speaks out on child neglect allegations

Four years back, in 2017, a renowned kadongo kamu artiste, Mathias Walukagga, appeared on national television under allegations of having forced sexual relations with his former housemaid, Aisha.

Talking in an interview with media, Aisha said that after having an intimate relationship with Walukaga, she got pregnant and told him about it, but he instead kicked her out of his house because ‘his wife wouldn’t be impressed.’ She adds that when she was three months pregnant, Walukaga wanted her to carry out an abortion, which she declined because her mother would not agree to it due to the risks involved.

Walukaga is also believed to have neglected her till the time of giving birth when he asked for pictures of the baby. He first rejected the baby because ‘it did not look like him’ and also blacklisted her number.

The Minister of State for Youth and Children affairs by then, Hon Nakiwala Kiyingi, forced Walukaga for a DNA test and it came out that he was the biological father of the baby.

Mathias, after negotiations, later promised to look after her in a rented house.

However, Aisha has come back to the news claiming that Walukaga is back at playing games when it comes to child support and she wants to take him back to the courts of law.

In an interview, Walukaga, who is now the Mayor of Kyengera town council, said that he has been sending money to Aisha and he has proof. He added that since he turned to politics, it must be of his political tormentors that are pushing Aisha to tarnish his name.
