Victor Kamenyo loses facebook account to hackers

Currently, in Uganda, a new wave of problems have hit celebrities and socialites. That’s because they have been losing their social media accounts, especially Facebook and Instagram, to hackers.

The targeted accounts are those that have a big following and huge numbers, especially accounts that belong to big personalities.

Last year, in December, singer Bruno K lost his Facebook page to hackers but he later recovered it after a month.

Another victim of these growing scams is rapper Victor Kamenyo, real name Derrick Katongole, who has also lost his Facebook page after it was hacked on Sunday night.

News of his losing his Facebook page has been shared by fellow singer Chosen Becky, through a post on her Facebook page.

“Hey my people, my brother Victor Kamenyo lost his facebook page, it was hacked, and this is his new page bambi, I beg you to kindly unfollow the old hacked page and follow this new one. Follow this one and like this new one. Thank you all, One love,” she posted.

Victor Kamenyo says he has opened up a new Facebook page for his fans and followers that would like to re-follow him.

According to him, it's tiresome to get back a lost page, especially at this time when the economy is fully open and he has a lot of errands to run and performances to do.
