Many people were excited and all they were praying for is the day to come so they could party hard like how they used to do two years back.
Ugandans excited about night life and events re-opening
Yesterday was the day all Ugandans were waiting for because it marked the end of night curfew.

The nightlife and events have been closed for over two years, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
For almost a period of two years, music events, cinemas, and other public spaces haven’t been operating and have been under a total lockdown.
While addressing the nation on December 31st, the president of Uganda said that nightlife and events will be opened two weeks after students report to school. School going students returned on January 10th which meant that on 24th nightlife and events would be fully open.
On Sunday, the president confirmed to the press that he wasn’t taking back his words about what he had said about nightlife and events.
Many night time places, like bars and clubs, were fully open yesterday and others had events happening already.
Artists like Bebe Cool, at one of the events where he was the headlining performer, took time off his performance time and thanked the president for opening up events.
Ugandan musicians have been struggling ever since these events were put under total lock down because it’s through performances that most of them get the money to do more music and also take care of their families.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the president of Uganda for fully opening up the country. It took a long time but at last we are back to normal,” Bebe Cool said.
Suuna Ben a popular radio host and deejay also thanked the president for finally remembering the arts industry especially by opening up night events and concerts.
Other stakeholders in the artists and creative industry have also come out and thanked the fountain of honor for not changing his decision regarding the full reopening of night life.
