"That video trended, I got issues with my wife. She saw things on my phone that she didn't like. She misinterpreted them... She is choleric and shot-tempered, and she can do something perilous when she is annoyed," Kamenyo said during an interview with Spark TV.
"I was trying to hold her to take her back in the house and calm her down because it happens a lot. When she is annoyed, she might throw herself in front of a running car," he went on.
"But she was already annoyed at everything, breaking things... I was trying to prevent her from going astray, doing things she is not supposed to do, because she was leaving without money, such a woman, and I love her a lot."
The Nduulu hitmaker said the video went public two days after the incident. He has not spoken to his baby mama since the fight.
"I'm calling her but she is not picking up. Now that I have a chance to speak to the media, wherever you are my love, you know our dreams and plans, I love you so much, come back home," he said.
"I've never beat my woman, and I don't believe in fighting with women. My mother instilled in me at a young age, that we don't fight women, we protect them. Even when she gets annoyed and slaps me, I don't react with violence," he said.
The rapper has a concert on October 9 and the interviewer wondered whether he was pulling stunts to garner attention.
"I can't do a stunt to promote my concert using my wife We have a lot of dreams and plans, and we had even opened a group to talk about our introduction," he said, noting that they were planning for December.
He insisted he didn't beat his baby mama.
"I didn't do anything bad, I was just trying to catch my wife to prevent her from harming herself. I didn't raise my hand to beat her even when she broke my phone. She is short-tempered. she can just throw herself in front of a running car... I wanted to bring her back so I can apologise," he said.
Kamenyo said he loves his baby mama and he would be glad to see her return home.
