Speaking about the case, deputy police spokesman Patrick Onyango explains that the couple visited a car bond back in December 2020 to purchase a car for Nina.
Nina Roz and Daddy Andre fighting over car ownership
Singer Nina Roz, real names Kankunda Nina, has filed a police case at Central Police Station against ex-husband Andrew Ojambo, popularly known as Daddy Andre. The "Billboard Kipande" hit singer is accusing Andre of stealing her car and selling it without her consent.
"The couple decided on a Mark X UBF516C which was being sold at 21 Million Shillings which they paid in installments. The first installment of 10 million Shillings was paid on that day and Nina signed the car agreement as the owner and Andre as the witness to the transaction." Deputy police spokesman Onyango says
In the police statement made by Nina, she says that she got the balance (11 Million shillings) which she extended to Andre to complete the transfer of the car.
Officer Onyango speculates that this must have been the turning point when Andre processed that car's documents in his names. However, the couple jointly used the car until it disappeared.
Daddy Andre allegedly sent his friend to get the car under claims of needing it for business but never returned it. Nina became suspicious and reported the situation to police who have discovered the car under the ownership of one Bernard.
The broker who bought the car from Andre told police that the documents were in the names of the "Tugende Mu Church" singer.
The couple has been called into the station to sort out the matter.
The two separated over a year ago after a passionate romance which fizzled out in no time. However, they remained friends and kept the reasons for their divorce secret.
Nina has a new song out which is titled "Wangi".
