Mrs Uganda, Syliva Namutebi Allibhai, doesn't agree with the study that posits that people who spend heavily on engagement rings divorce at a higher rate than those who acquired theirs at a bargain price.

"My ring is pure gold and a diamond bought from South Africa with an authentication certificate no fakes 🙅🏿♀️ but let me tell u [sic], every time I look at it, I know I'm not leaving my marriage," she tweeted.
"I come to stay and make it work come rain come shine. So I can't relate to cheap rings 🙈😆"
The research, which surveyed 3,000 ever-married adults was conducted by Andrew Francis-Tan, a visiting associate professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore and Hugo M. Mialon, associate professor and director of undergraduate studies at the department of economics at Emory University.
"Men who spent between $2,000 and $4,000 on an engagement ring had a higher rate of divorce than men who spent between $500 and $2,000," the researchers discovered, according to Nbcnews.com.
The former Mrs Uganda has been married since 2017 and she has one kid, a boy.
Her husband on Tuesday posted on his Instagram that they are expecting another child.
"There’s a new vibe coming to our tribe! Our little guy needed a partner in crime and we couldn't be happier to have an addition to our amazing family. Me and my lovely wife are over the moon for the arrival of our second baby!" Allibhai captioned the picture that shows him holding his wife's baby bump.
"It's been a journey to get here but we are finally ready and we just can't wait to meet the new baby Allibhai."
Now that Namutebi has offered her opinion, all eyes would be on her to see how she holds down her marriage.
