Mirembe refutes these claims, saying that she elevated herself on her own talents hence catching MC Kats' attention.

“By the time we met, I was already working on TV, on Spark TV. MC Kats did not discover me, I was already on the screens and I had my own car,” she said.
Kats backed Mirembe's statement attesting to her resourceful and ambitious character which has put her in a comfortable place to satiate her needs.
“She is hard-working. She can afford to buy whatever she desires with her money,” he said.
The two have allegedly enjoyed a close friendship which has raised eyebrows and scoffs from the media and public accusing them of being romantically involved.
Mirembe has been a victim of vicious attacks from fellow media personalities and fans of MC Kats calling her a gold-digger and putting her on the spot for presumably dating a well-known HIV/AIDS positive MC Kats.
Through social media posts of heartfelt messages, surprise birthday parties and party hosting, the two MCs have stuck together, mostly unbothered. However, the barging in on their privacy seems to have finally struck a raw nerve and Mirembe has come out to draw the line between her relationship with Kats and their separate stardom.
When rumours broke out a few days ago of MC Kats dating one Shammy Kats, critics applauded him for allegedly dumping Mirembe for a self-reliant Shammy Kats.
Comparisons where made between the two ladies with Mirembe in the black and blue corner bruised by complaints against her using MC Kats for his fame, while Shammy Kats was crowd-surfing in praises of being a better match for him.
Mirembe maintains that she was already established in the spotlight long before Kats and their relationship is a genuine connection rather than a crutch for her to stay relevant.
