The singer, along with Ugandan citizens and educationists, mourns the loss of an educational innovator and one of the biggest stakeholders in the education sector of the country. He was visiting his daughter in Minnesota (United States), to attend her graduation.

"As a family we have lost a father and as a country we have lost an innovator and a proprietor. May His Soul Rest In Peace," he wrote.

Musoke has been serving as Vice President of Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UNCCI) at the time of his death and the news of his passing was announced by the President of the same organisation Ms. Olive Kigongo.

We are still in shock as UNCCI. I chatted with him from Seoul (the capital of South Korea) on Tuesday (June 21) when I had just arrived and he told me he had undergone intestinal obstruction surgery in Louisiana,” Ms. Kigongo said.

He has been on the boards of a number of leading commercial and education institutions including; MK Publishers Ltd, the mother company in Uganda; MK Publishers (R) Ltd in Rwanda; MK Publishers Ltd in Zambia; MK Publishers Kenya Ltd, MK SEG, Burundi, MK Publishers Tanzania Ltd and MK Publishers, Ethiopia. He was chairman, Vice Chairman and Deputy Secretary General of Uganda Publishers Association overseeing the standards of book publishing in Uganda.

His avidity for the educational sector and commerce has made Musoke a beacon of knowledge and higher learning for many Ugandans and Africans. Whether directly supporting their education, like in the case of Aganaga, or producing educational material.

Aganaga is currently running for the office of Vice President of Uganda Musicians Association.
