Singer Pallaso, real name Pius Mayanja, says he is no longer known as simply Jose Chameleone’s brother and is now considered an artist in his own right.

He is now known for his own songs instead of being recognised as being part of a famous musical family.
"Hard work and persistence are key in everything I do. I used to walk in Chameleone's shadow but now I am known as Pallaso- the musician. I forced myself on the people, and it's now paying my bills," he reportedly said.
Pallaso (the self-described Sucker Free Boss) is a multitalented creative with strengths as a songwriter, producer, and videographer.
A charismatic performer, he was born on September 5, 1987, to Mr Gerald Mayanja and Ms Prossy Mayanja. He sings in Luganda, with English and Kiswahili. The genres of his music being Afrobeats, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Afropop, and RnB.
Hailed as the King of The East, Pallaso began his musical career in 2000 as a member of the Leone Island musical group under the stage name Lizard.
In 2003, his brother Dr Jose Chameleone released his debut hit, “Mudigidde.” Pallaso then travelled to the United States and then returned to Uganda in 2014 following a ten-year stint there.
Consequent upon his return, he created the group “Team Good Music,” which made waves in the Ugandan music industry.
Pallaso and the Goodlyfe Crew released the song “Amaaso” later that year, before he went on create a number of songs, including “Wekoledewo kaki,” “Omugongo,” and others.
He’s collaborated with acclaimed artists like Davido, Sheebah Karungi, King Saha, and others.
“Bareke Abo”, “Nakupenda”, “Mpa Love”, “Mpeke”, “Kiliza”, and many others are among his hit singles.
In 2020, Pallaso dropped "Malamu", one of the most widely played songs that year.
