In an interview with Spark TV Uganda, she said President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady, Janet, had not seen her but the song endeared her to them.

"They said we want this girl," she said. "They had never seen me, but the song was popular."

According to her, the two days at the president's residence where she got the opportunity to shake hands with the president and his wife, transformed her life.

"So, they brought me and I sang at State House... They gave me a heavy envelope. I started there and then to enjoy life," she said, laughing.

"My life changed completely. Even words changed. Even the thinking changed. Even friends changed."

In the song, she tells people that secular love is elusive and deceptional but the love of Jesus Christ stays forever.

In a 2012 interview, Mbabazi said music moved her from running a salon to owning property in prime areas in Mbarara city.

"Singing has given me a chance to praise my Lord. I have also earned from singing. Before, I used to operate a mobile salon, but I have graduated from that. I now own houses in Mbarara, I have a shop on Garage Street in Mbarara, dealing in stationery and electronics. I have also bought a car. I was invited to State House, where I spent two days. It earned me an opportunity to shake hands with President Yoweri Museveni and the First Lady," she said, adding when asked about her experience in State House:

"It was wonderful. Everything was being done for me by servants. I gave the President two CDs, one was the album of ‘Rukundo Egumeho’ and another had my message to the first family."

Peace Mbabazi sings mostly in Runyakore/Runyakitara with a few verses in Luganda, Kiswahil and English and her popular songs include ‘Rukundo Egumeho', 'Empologoma Yayuda', 'Omuntu Owomunda', 'Rukundo Ya Maama', 'God is Good', 'Ninkusiima', 'Mukama', 'Upendo wa Yesu' and 'Hariyo Ebikwija'.
