Catherine Kusasira fires shots at Bobi Wine and Walukagga

Top Kadongo Kamu musician and mayor of Kyengera town council Sir Mathias Walukagga lost his father and the patriarch was buried on Wednesday.

While they held farewell prayers and vigil yesterday for the deceased, in attendance were musicians Big Eye aka Star Boss and band musician and presidential advisor Catherine Kusasira.

The situation did not go on well for them at the vigil after being chased away from the venue by a number of mourners.

A section of Walukagga's supporters who had attended the funeral questioned why the two - Big Eye and Kusasira - had been allowed to attend yet they defected to the National Unity Platform (NUP).

The incident happened at Walukagga’s ancestral grounds in Kinyerere, Masaka where his dad was buried.

Chasing of the two public figures was however condemned by different people as having been mean and primitive given that they had attended to condole the bereaved.

There were also several musicians and political personalities in attendance led by NUPs President Bobi Wine, who was received with pomp.

Kusasira has come out and said she was allowed to gently walk away from the vigil because the NRM party she supports is full of humble people.

She says NUP is just a wave that was created by NRM government and will soon be washed away like FDC and Dr Kizza Besigye.

“I question why people act as though they started NUP yet they don’t know who started and registered the party. But I can confirm to them that NUP is an NRM branch that will soon be no more like some political parties and personalities like the late mayor Ssebagala and Besigye," Kusasira said.

Kusasira says people like Walukaga’s houses were saved by the government not NUP, Bobi Wine used to work with former IGP Kale Kayihura and musician who is currently Mawokota North constituency MP Hillary Kiyaga aka Hilderman worked closely with former minister for trade and MP Amelia Kyambadde who all whole heartedly support NRM.

Chasing of the two public figures was, however, condemned by different people as having been mean and primitive given that they had attended to condole the bereaved.
