Bebe Cool ‘forces’ Gravity Omutujju to sing for 8 people

When he was still new in the music industry, Gravity Omutujju was hired to perform at a bar to which Bebe Cool had also been invited.

When Cool came to the venue, he found Omutujju performing but he didn’t have the patience to wait for him to finish, so he decided to interrupt.

"Bebe Cool found me at some bar and grabbed the microphone from me. I was singing Walumbe Zaaya. And he said,... I'm leaving, that one of Walumbe... do you want Walumbe or Big Size?... People wanted Big Size. He was hot. He took away the microphone from me... And I was like, will I progress?... I let him sing,” Omutujju said in a video seen by this reporter.

“I later sang, but there were like eight people left in the audience. I had just joined the music industry... He used to call me Walumbe [Luganda for death].”

Cool and Gravity have had an on-off relationship for a while.

For instance, after his concert on October 1, Omutujju made scathing comments against a number of musicians and Cool was among them.

For instance, he said deliberately refused to invite Cool to perform at his concert because he is not a fan.

“I intentionally refused to call Bebe Cool, I didn't even bother him; I left him because… you may announce him as a performer and people refuse to come,” Omutujju said, adding that he is not his fan.

“To be honest, I'm not Bebe Cool's fan, but I know his music, like Kaseepiki, Wire Wire, which other one, the one he sang from a desert, Love You Everyday."

When Cool recently got an opportunity to get back at him, he was equally ruthless.

“... If you want to remove Bebe Cool from his position, produce good music for Ugandans, project a respectable demeanour, show discipline, dress well, bathe, be respectful, and then they will respect you. The audience will respect you and put you where Bobi Wine and Chameleone are," Cool recently said, hitting back at Omutujju who had said he should retire from the music industry because he had become lazy.

It is important to note that the duo has a song together titled Kerere.
