The awards happen annually, however, for the past two years when the country was on total lockdown of events, the organisers held the event virtually with a few invited guests gracing the physical event.
Azawi, Eddy Kenzo and Pallaso win big at Zzina Award
Earlier this month, the 9th edition of the Zzina Awards was launched at the Zzina Towers.

The awards look at awarding Ugandan outstanding musicians and nominations are always done via social media.
This year’s edition has had many people nominated and many of the nominees were young artists and the award event happened at Thobani Centre last night.
A couple of musicians walked away with accolades in appreciation of their good music but musicians like Swangz Avenue’s singer Azawi, Eddy Kenzo and Pallaso were the biggest winners of the night.
The three artists have with not doubt performed very well musically the previous year. Eddy Kenzo and Azawi dropped albums while Pallaso had over three trending top hits.
