On getting the ban, Balaam says such artists will not be allowed to perform anywhere in Uganda at any event.
Artistes that miss shows after being booked to be banned for two years - Balaam
City event’s organiser and business giant Balaam Barugahare Atenyi has said there is going to be a ban issued on every musician that misses a show where they have been advertised and fully booked for perfomances.
This move according to the events promoter Balaam is to protect both the names of the promoter and also the property of the venue owners who are always culprits of vandalised property when revelers strike over artists that don’t show up for shows.
He adds that the ban will be issued through their events promoters and organisers committee headed by promoter Abitex real name Abbey Musinguzi.
Balaam said all this after musician Pallaso over the weekend failed to perform at an event where he was fully booked in areas of Kyotera in Mukono. This saw the event not ending well with property vandalised and stolen by people.
Reports say he failed to perform due to the events generator failing to light up due to insufficient fuel but this is Pallaso’s second incident of missing a performance in a short period of time after one in Masaka where he showed up late and apologised to the people through doing community work of sweeping the streets.
However much the blame was to be put on the organisers generator, it is believed that Pallaso also wasted a lot of time in his car with his team instead of hitting the stage.
At the very event, musician Spice Diana did not show up at the venue yet he was expected to perform.
