Ayebare who made this revelation on his official Twitter account further revealed that a South Sudanese diplomat was injured during the incident.
“Violent incident at Uganda House New York, an individual yet to be identified damaged a glass of a rear entrance door and injured a South Sudanese Diplomat (tenants), the police are on the scene, fortunately our CCCT cameras captured the incident. Too early to establish the motive, but the individual was reportedly angry about the Bill passed by UG Parliament on LGBT. More details to follow,” he revealed on his official Twitter account.
He added that Police is already at the crime scene to establish the activist's motive.
Ayebare also clarified that the Bill which was passed by Parliament on Tuesday, March 21 is not yet law until the President assents to it.

“Extensive international media reports on the recently passed "anti-homosexuality bill" by Parliament of Uganda insinuates that the bill is already law, this is misleading, until the President assents to the Bill there is no law. SEPARATION OF POWERS,” he said.

The Bill will see those found guilty of the vice face up to 20 years in jail.
The Bill, according to members of parliament, seeks to strengthen Uganda’s capacity to deal with domestic and foreign threats to the heterosexual family will have media personalities found guilty of promoting the vice face up to 20 years in prison.
There have been concerns raised by some activists who said that the Bill is a violation of human rights. The Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, however, trashed their concerns saying the cultural norms and aspirations of the people of Uganda will always remain supreme.
